A great find when I was looking for somewhere to visit on the way up to Scotland. This car park is next to Carlisle Castle and has allocated spaces for Motorhomes.

Beck - noun, North England: a brook, especially a swiftly running stream with steep banks.

The Puzzling Place

Another recommended visit. We’ve seen everyone else do it on instagram so we spent a wet afternoon exploring the illusions at the Puzzling Place in Keswick.

Derwent Pencil Museum

Hugely under sold, the Pencil Museum in Keswick is a humble place and definitely worth the trip.

Ambleside

At the top of the Lake Districts largest lake (Lake Windermere) sits Ambleside.

Outgate Fell

In the small hamlet of Outgate is a field, not a flat field, not really a field but a hill with tufts of grass and a little gravel.

Hawkshead

The car less village of potter and Wordsworth.

Week 8

And so we reach our third weekly summary after eight weeks with Daisy. We have stayed at some of our favourite sites so far with plenty to do and see during the day as well as a safe place to sleep. We have left our car on a family driveway
